  • Hi, I’m Joey. I’ve worked with most of you over the years!

  • This week, I became sole owner of Bedrock, after years as co-owner.

  • The bike industry is suffering and we’re no exception - even so, we could have done things better. We’ve been a little stagnant.

  • I still believe in our top-notch, Made in the USA mission, and I’m re-committing to that mission now.

  • Expect updates on the changes ahead. Stock items remain available; I’ll re-open custom orders ASAP.

  • THANK YOU for making Bedrock possible since 2012!

The long version:

If you’ve dealt with Bedrock over the last decade, it’s very likely that we’ve worked together. My name’s Joey, and I’m familiar with many of you. Whether answering your product questions, designing and testing new ideas, building your bags, or shipping your orders, I’ve been involved in every step of our business at some point in the last 10 years. It’s been an amazing ride - thank all of you for using and enjoying our gear.

After many years as co-owner, this week I became sole owner of Bedrock. The bike industry is in a rough spot right now. I’ve been in the industry since 1997, when I was 14, eventually becoming a World Cup mechanic, a bike shop owner, and a bike bag builder! In all those years, I’ve never seen the industry in such bad shape. Like many small companies, Bedrock has been struggling. Industry problems aside, there are things we could have done better - we’ve been a little stagnant.

Through these last few difficult months, I realized I wasn’t willing to let my company go under. I still believe in our mission of building top-notch outdoor gear in America. By becoming sole owner, I’m re-committing to our mission, and committing to building this back from the bottom up. What you can expect - I’ll be keeping you updated as I make changes. Stock items will remain available for purchase; I’ll open custom orders back up as soon as I’m able. And those “big changes”… you’ll find out soon enough!

Many thanks to our crew over the years. And huge thanks to you, the riders, our customers - we wouldn’t be here without you. Bedrock has become more than I ever expected. I’m looking forward to creating the next chapter!
